From Doro to Nairobi

The evening before we left Doro we were given bracelets, a Mabaan sign of friendship, by two sisters from Doro church. Here Nafisa is tying on Deborah's. Her sister, Tabitha, cooks lunch for the team Mon-Sat and is the person Deborah most often learns new Mabaan words from. She's very patient with D's current mix of Arabic, Mabaan and sign language!
Below, Caleb and Bethanie wait on Doro's airstrip with 'the two Amys'. Two lovely nurses, one from Canada and the other from the USA, are both great with the kids.

.. and another good friend, Christiane, waits on the quad bike with some small Sudanese friends!

Our plane touches down in Yabus, en-route to Lokichoggio. Hallelujah climbs on board to greet us.
24 hours later (due to unscheduled stop-over) we are back in Nairobi - the land of ice-cream, fresh milk... and commercialism!
It's rainy season in Kenya which creates new play opportunities for the children living on our compound - a hot bath was needed straight after this!
We are staying in a new guest-house for SIM on a compound shared with other mission agencies. Here some of our new neighbours invite us to a BBQ - Isaac (front right) and Caleb have become good friends.

Family fun has included a game of mini-golf...
...and playing at our favourite place, Amani Ya Ju (thanks for the T-shirts Granny and Sandy!).
