SIM Sudan SLC 2012

16-20 April 2012 were the much-anticipated dates of our team's annual SLC - you may have many good suggestions of what these initials should stand for - the traditional version is 'Spiritual Life Conference' - and it is a highlight in our team's year.  We all get on buses and go up into the hills above Nairobi for a cool, green, retreat at Brackenhurst conference centre.  A team from Tennessee came to lead worship and children's activities - plus to spoil us silly!

Here is your welcoming committee...

I'm not sure everyone's got the right luggage...

If it's your kinda thing, the trees are great for climbing

There are those who like to play sport.. and those who like to watch!

These are microphones the kids are holding (and singing very beautifully into)
Caleb surprised us all by volunteering for a solo
More fun performances from the kids

It was sometimes a little bit rainy!

Our wonderful speakers, Roy and Gwyn Corrie - over 50 years in missions and so much love and wisdom to share with us.  Roy spoke on 'The Compassionate Heart of God'.

After-hours games - Tom's not sure how to act this one!

Ruth bravely rises to the challenge when the rain brings out all the flying ants - and eats her first live termite!  She can't quite believe it afterwards.

Leah and Starline's youngest boy, Graham

Everyone has different ways of enjoying themselves...

The whole SIM Sudan team - it's a joy to serve together (most of the time!)
