November was a month of lots of good and a little bit of bad.
We loved watching Bethanie in her class assembly on what they all wanted to be when they grew up. She wanted to be an orphan carer.Alice (from South Africa) is becoming one of her best friends in school
At the school bonfire night party the kids just went happily off with their friends (and Mum and Dad spent most of the evening trying to see where they had got to!)
Sadly we came home that night to find that our flat had been burgled (it's honestly not normally that messy!)
Our landlords were very quick to change the locks and make us feel safe again but the police really did nothing apart from give us an 'incident report' for our insurance. This was despite some really great clues!
Our friend Liz invited Bethanie and Deborah for another wonderful tea party. Can you see that we're getting excited about Christmas already?
Bethanie, Liz and Michelle enjoy some girl-time
Caleb has 'Victorian Day' at school - we're not very good at fancy costumes but we thought he looked very handsome!
These two Ethiopian families are old team-mates who are now studying in Nairobi. We always feel blessed by their warm friendship and godly example.

Here is a rare photo of team life - a monthly Monday Prayer Morning (we pray every Monday but once a month it's longer and in someone's home) at the Conard's house.

One Friday after school we went to visit Dau at the place where he stays in Nairobi. It's on a friend's property and they have a small 'shamba' for growing vegetables, fruit and sugar cane.

And this is the house that Dau built..
And he served us a very delicious meal inside which Caleb requested I replicate for his birthday!
