With the Easter holidays came... Anna! Deborah's second-youngest cousin joined us for two very special weeks and we thoroughly enjoyed showing her our favourite places, and saying goodbye to some of them ourselves.
First stop was some Ethiopian foodThen we stepped off the edge of the world for a few nights, at Ol D'Acha
Our good friends, the Boons, joined us which meant fun for all of us. Here are the pyjama girls - Aly and Beth!
Joel and Caleb spent most of the time throwing darts at the front door - slightly stressful but no-one came in at the wrong moment thankfully!
And there were jigsaw puzzles (where Theresa did most of the work)...
...reading in the sun...
swimming...
walks...
games... (Empires was a favourite)
The whole gang
Such a beautiful location
The drive either way was quite an adventure - photos can't do it justice but Jake's 2WD did amazingly well and only needed a push once! Can you tell we're in Masai territory?
Some fun sights on the way home:
I love the name of this vet clinic!
Animals by the roadside - spot the giraffe?!
I suppose it's true...
This is where Deborah & Anna's grandad worked - I think for about 20 years (1950-70?)
A tired truck and a tulip tree
Nairobi does have some very big advertising hoardings - Justin likes this one!
