We left Gracia guesthouse on Tuesday to move into the much more comfortable SIM flats. We now have two bedrooms, as well as a decent kitchen and two bathrooms! We are all much happier in our own beds!
Caleb also got to realise his ambition of spending time at the art club in the local Ya Ya shopping centre. The idea is that they look after your kids while you shop, but we mostly enjoyed their comfy sofas while the kids absorbed themselves in what was on offer - what a great idea!
Before the real hardships of life in Africa sets in, Justin joined eight other men from the team for a 'meat night' at a local Brazilian restaurant - 13 meats, ranging from beef to crocodile - you know the sort of thing. It was a great night and the food really was amazing.
On Friday we said a fond farewell to a number of team members who were flying back into Sudan the next morning, including Justin's Aunty & Uncle, Ann and Ray. We also said goodbye to Andrew, the base manager at Malakal, who has been tasked with finding us 'suitable' accommodation - whatever that might be!
