So says Bethanie, every so often, despite it being as far back as Saturday that we did indeed feed some Giraffes. The experience has clearly left an impression on her!
Looking for something special to do on Saturday we headed by taxi to the edge of Nairobi, to the Giraffe Centre. It lived up to expectations and we happily whiled away the best part of the day feeding Giraffes, lazing in the shade drinking sodas, investigating the curois for sale, and seeing if the tortoises would do anything exciting (they didn't).
To round it off we braved their 'nature trail' which on the one hand was our first experience of some real African scenery and on the other a scary hour's walk with us never being quite sure whether we were on the path or not! We returned at the end of the day very satisfied with our adventure and having left one local taxi company much better off (we still need to get the hang of haggling...)
