Getting to work

Caleb and Bethanie enjoy being able to be part of the work their daddy is doing. They have helped him to make some concrete covers for the new clinic borehole. They often go down to see how the work on our new house is progressing or for a longer walk we can visit the clinic construction site.

Caleb also does an hour of school each day and here you can see him learning about dissolving, solutions, saturation points and how to make crystals. I think the main thing that he learned was that you get more sugar to dissolve if the water is warm and then the mixture tastes even more yummy – good thing we weren’t using copper sulphate!
Mummy’s work at the moment is focussed on keeping us all provided with clean clothes, a clean house and healthy food. A lady from the village called Grace is available to do a few loads of washing each week which just leaves a few for Deborah. As a team, we all eat lunch together and another lady, Tabitha, cooks this meal for us. This is great as each meal takes a couple of hours to prepare when there are no convenience foods and you are cooking on a charcoal stove.

Sometimes it’s not only the clothes that need a wash!
