Jan - glimpses of 'normal' life

The rest of Robin and Eileen's visit was set within our normal pattern of work, school and fun at the weekends.
Caleb took them to see his school

This is what his class looks like!

We had special times with Hiakie and Rangteigong - here they are presenting Eileen and Robin with special stoles from their home in North East India.

Hiakie is Director of the Unity Secondary School in Doro and Rangteigong supports him in many ways and is an amazing cook with a gift of hospitality.

A very special friend, Christiane, had a special birthday

And the ladies (Caleb was allowed in for the cake!) celebrated with, of course, a movie!  We also said goodbye to Karissa (2nd from L at the back), which was sad for us but good news for Andrew who she was going home to marry.  Theirs was the first Skype proposal I have personally heard of!

We discovered a new garden cafe and crafts centre in Karen - Marula Studios

It is home to the Flipflop Recycling Company and the playground carpet is made from... you guessed it!
Maxwell, who lives with his grandma Rosemary (L) and grandpa Joel, also had a birthday party.  They are friends from Good Shepherd Church.

 A benchful of beautiful girls

Some fun and games in Justin's Sunday School class - I think they are acting out the disciples telling the mothers and children to leave Jesus alone!

And a small part of January's BIG logistics operation - getting 7 TONNES of cargo into South Sudan.  This truck is going to take just some of it to Lokichoggio airport on the border.
