Week 2 - Welsh Hideaway

Monday to Saturday of our second week was spent relaxing in the Welsh hills with good friends, Nick, Katherine and Laetesha Brook.  Deborah's parents own two beautiful adjoining holiday cottages there, which feel like a home away from home for us.  Have a look at www.welsh-hideaways.co.uk if you also need some P&Q!
The view from our bedroom window (and yes, it was sunny ALL week!)

Foxgloves were everywhere

Our little village on the River Ystwyth - in the exact geographical centre of Wales

Looking towards the cottages (part of the row in white) from the farm

Yummy food and fun fellowship

Enjoying the beautiful woods at Hafod

Laetesha and Bethanie

Nick and Justin

Katherine looking rather too cute for a monster

Mornings chillin in front of CBeebies (whilst all the parents that can manage laze in bed!)

Giant cardboard boxes make the best playground (parents enjoy the new patio set that they bring!)

 Exploring the heathery hills

Caleb and Justin go exploring the old lead and silver mining works

 A derelict kind of beauty

Learning how to do a proper barbie from an Aussie

And all the things a real burger should have inside - beetroot anyone?

A super playground at Nant y Arian - the Red Kite Centre

Laetesha enjoyed having some bigger playmates

We had lots of fun playing in little streams

Beth and Caleb are now good walkers, so long as the grass isn't tickly!

Come on in, the water's lovely!

The engineer/artist enjoys painting this old bridge

All very relaxing :)
