Thanks to the generosity of friends in the UK we were able to enjoy a night in the rift valley and introduce Deborah's colleague Hannah to the beauty of Kenya beyond the confines of Nairobi.
Saturday (Day 9)
A moment we love to share with visitors to Kenya: a first glimpse of the rift valley opening out before your eyes, hundreds of feet below the road

Our safari on the cheap (driving around the lake!) turned up some giraffe...
... and zebra. Also baboons and impala.
We found a very nice gift shop too and made an early start on Christmas presents...
An enjoyable evening meal at next door Fishermans Camp (where we used to go as a family). Hippos present in the background.
