October - fast forward to half-term

The camera didn't seem to get out and about much in early October but towards the end it joined us on a short half-term trip up to Nakuru
We took the chance to drop in on friends from All Nations en-route days (2008) who are now teaching and house-parenting up at St Andrews Turi - lovely to have you here Youlten family!

The sign of a good holiday

Games by the fire

Tennis in the garden

Crafting on the verandah

Sharing stories and adventures

And always with a good book close at hand!

This new cottage at Kembu, 'Beryls', was the home of legendary pilot Beryl Markham (read 'West with the Night' for her story) and was lovingly moved here by the Nightingale family.

Justin painted it for them and earned us a free night's stay!

We couldn't help chuckling at this sign on the way home - it wasn't in the Rough Guide!

Justin's New Horizons students are busy making a workbench and tool boxes this term

Nelson is on the edge of the platform and not sawing magically into the floor!
